Scope of role
To support the Senior Manager Team with the ongoing development of the Freight Wholesale Operations team
Support new processes and procedures in order to complete documentation on all aspects of Import and Export jobs.
Provide account management to customers from start to finish.
To be a key liaison between departments, specifically warehouse teams.
Key Tasks
Exports
· Create documents for Export from origin shipments i.e. MAWB, HAWB
· Complete Customs declarations for origin shipments;
· Checking for data validity
· Submission through internal systems
· Pre-alerts to international Gateways
· File prep for Whisky/Alcohol shipments from International customers
· New business spot quotes, both freight and courier
· Rate validity with Airlines
· Planning and arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements
· Communication with overseas offices/partners
· Ensure all enquiries or other communications are actioned promptly and efficiently
· Compliance with current national and international legislations and regulations on export controls, HMRC policies, BIS export controls
Hours 12:30 to 21:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:00 to 18:30 on a Saturday.
Salary up to GBP27K depending on experience
